- Successful applicants are enrolled in Outward Bound programme to suit their availability

- Successful applicant[s] attend Outward Bound 23-day programme at appropriate time

Selection criteria

Choosing the successful applicant[s] for the scholarship[s] each year is a real challenge! We'd love to have enough funds to send all applicants, as we are all ways so impressed with the quality and merits of each application we recieve.

So – there is no precise science to the selection process.

It might be that you are not the kind of person who easily deals with physical challenges or with being a team player or a leader within your school or community– so attending Outward Bound would help you develop into a more confident young person.

It might be that you are already a leader within your school or community, and attending Outward Bound would broaden your leadership skills and develop your confidence as a leader.

What we're really looking for when we review applications and interview you, is that you know why you attending Outward Bound would help you grow and develop – from wherever you are now, into wherever you want to go. So think about the compelling reason[s] that we should select you to attend this programme.
