WD Trek, Tiraumea, Wairarapa - 2003
The folks in the Wairarapa took on new challenge in 2003 and hosted a 4WD Trek to raise funds for the Trust.
We all met at the Tiraumea Hall at 9am with our lunches and 4WD trucks at the ready. A great route was organised that saw us trekking over hills, through the dried up stream beds and exploring the back-country of the district.
There was a great BBQ and afternoon tea back at the hall afterwards. We charged each vehicle $50 to participate and many drivers tipped in extra $$$'s as they wanted to support the Trust.
A great day was had by all!
