Wilderness Walk in the Waitakeres, Auckland, New Zealand - 2002

The weather was grim, the group was only five strong; but into the Waitakeres we ventured. We'd all signed up a number of sponsors, so we had alot of money to collect providing we completed the 10km walk through the bush.

Up and down we went, the tracks were muddy and a few slips were endured. The rain stopped for a while and we were able to get some spectacular views of the ocean.... before it started bucketing down again!

We made it – and reflected on how Guy would've loved seeing us all wet through, a bit exhausted, but pleased we'd done a good job of completing the task at hand.

Off to the pub we headed to dry out...
